The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it really is alarmed about the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety sassa status of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The service position created for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all SRD people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all clients and boost entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
